“The Musselburgh”, as the club is generally known by the Scottish cycling fraternity, has a long history of success in cycle sport in Scotland. A glance at our history and list of champions, past and present, shows that the Musselburgh colours of blue and gold have been worn with distinction at district, national, international and world championship levels.
The aim of the club is to enjoy cycling and we cater for all levels of fitness and ability. Members range from those who just want to stay fit and enjoy riding their bikes, through the full range of competitive cycling up to world championship level. The club enjoys a highly developed support structure that includes coaches, technical expertise and a winning team spirit.
We currently have teams of riders racing on the track, in time trials and on the road. The club organises a number of races and cycle evetns each year including an Audax, time trials and road races, all held in the East Lothian area. Riders also compete at the Meadowbank Track League and at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
We have our clubrooms in the Old Town Hall in Musselburgh. The club meets on a Friday night (after 8 pm) and we are pleased to welcome prospective members and visitors who can come along to meet us. To contact one of the club officials visit the membership page.
