Another trip down south which meant sneaking all my kit into my wife’s car the night before so that I used her fuel instead of my own - yes I’m that person! 😂
Good conditions in geordieland this morning with a slight north easterly and most importantly no rain 😉. Packed field (120 riders) and my first temperature test before a race. Forgot my rear light (now compulsory with CTT events) but Ben who’s another local rider was off earlier than me came to the rescue and handed me his before I set off.
Quite a technical course taking on 7 roundabouts so I didn’t expect a fast time. However, I managed a 20:52 (11th place) which was a massive PB and builds more confidence for the next few events. Just need to get brave in those tight corners 😉
