Scottish 50 mile TT Championships (July 18th 2021)

Short race report from me: brutally early start for Scottish CTT 50m time trial championship on the A90 north of Forfar on Sunday morning. Relatively flat dual carriage way course with flyover / underpass at either end of the 25m course there (so riding it twice). Very little wind. All good ingredients for fast times - and that's exactly what they got with a new Scottish 50m record (3 riders went under the previous record).

For my own efforts, which definitely faded in the last 5 miles (possibly thanks to Paul Davis, Bruce Wallace and Ali Watt putting me on the rivet on Thursdays TTT training ) I clocked a new pb of 1hr 47mins 48s with average speed of 27.9mph. Placed me 11th overall.

Judging by Thursdays turn out for TTT training I can look forward to seeing a few more MRCC riders at the off!
